About Us
Our Mission:
To maintain, promote and support Hispanic culture, art and education; while meeting the cultural needs of the diverse Hispanic communities of Queens. The Center also aims to build cross-cultural connections with other ethnic groups and cultural organizations in our borough.
Our Goals:
We serve our borough by coordinating the Center’s programs and resources with other ethnic groups, institutions of learning, governmental agencies, private interests, and community leaders. Our center aims to:
- Strengthen the collective identity of Hispanics in America through preservation and celebration of their cultural legacy.
- Nurture a cultural pluralism by seeking and fostering opportunities for cooperation and cultural exchange with other ethnic groups.
- Encourage Hispanic-Americans to participate actively in the civic and political lives of American society and thereby contribute to the advancement of their new homeland.
Let’s Work Together!
There are many ways we can work together to achieve the Center’s objectives and enrich your quality of life and those of your children and neighbors.
Volunteer your time or expertise! By volunteering you are giving back to the community and helping LACCQ further its mission.
Can’t volunteer, but want to help? We gratefully accept tax deductible donations. Please help LACCQ continue offering the vitality of Hispanic culture through cross-cultural events and initiatives. Your gift will help our Center develop, expand, and maintain programs that benefit our community and society at large.
